He fell in love with this business when he realized the potential of eventually reaching out to a worldwide market and ultimately becoming one of the largest most competitive third party processors on the market achieving a high approval rating resulting in a positive change in the market, and he absolutely did what he set out to do. Prior to deciding to open up his own territory he realized the massive benefits to the consumer. A study was done throughout the country with and without these payment gateways and virtual terminals and the results were outstanding; the findings were that with the businesses that had a credit card payment procedure in place produced 83.6% more in revenues than without. Voila! Rich was hooked. The credit Card Merchant Processing Business was where Richard found a perfect match.He became aware of the importance of having a streamlined process to take payments in all areas of business via internet or in-store and that his client’s profits were incredible. After further studies found that those that utilized Pay Pal or the like, had even lower profit margins due to the tremendous fees that were involved. This method did not show greater income levels.
When he first started out he found that it was simply exhausting trying to get a client approved. At the time he was limited to only a few processing companies and he was jumping through hoops for his applicants. Richard wanted to take the burden off of his clients and become the best merchant account broker on the planet,altered the phrase, “I am so sorry that my bank was not able to approve you for… to now, congratulations…you are approved for payment processing!” He was able to do this by partnering up with over 100 reputable processors and banks across the globe domestically and internationally. Now, offering every single type of merchant account out there for every type of application scenario, was able to change the outcome to get his clients approved and up and running in no time.
Fourteen years later his dream is still being realized as he makes this possible for businesses every day. He truly has a passion for this industry and satisfying his clients and it shows when you initially talk to him, throughout the application process and on to building long term business relationships internationally. On a personal note, he is a family man with four children and just recently a proud grandfather! He is a true Californian from the San Diego area and loves the outdoors. He loves sitting by the beach, surfing or strolling along the boardwalk and as always… stopping in the local beach bar & grill for fish tacos and a Corona! Although, he currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada and loves the nightlife, he prefers spending time with family at home or taking trips to Northern California and Oregon for camping and fishing every chance he gets!
